The Beginning

Look, I'm gonna be straight with you - this place wasn't born from some corporate fitness plan or franchise blueprint.

Back in 2018, I was training out of a grimy warehouse in East Van with maybe 5-6 guys who were sick of the same old gym nonsense. You know the type - rows of treadmills, mirrors everywhere, people more worried about their selfies than their deadlift form. We wanted something raw, something that actually meant something.

Started with just barbells, kettlebells, and a bunch of beat-up mats. But man, the energy was different. We pushed each other like ancient warriors preparing for battle - not in some cheesy cosplay way, but with real respect for what strength training should be. No egos, just iron and discipline.

The Evolution

By 2020, we'd outgrown that warehouse. Word spread fast when you're actually getting people results instead of just taking their money. People started showing up who'd never touched a barbell before, folks recovering from injuries, even some former athletes looking to reclaim that fire they'd lost.

That's when we moved to Granville Street and officially became Runeborn Legion Fitness. The name? It's about becoming part of something bigger than yourself. Every rep, every drop of sweat, you're carving your own legend. Sounds intense, I know, but that's kinda the point.

What We Stand For

We're not here to coddle you or promise "easy 30-day transformations." Real strength - physical and mental - takes time, consistency, and a willingness to get uncomfortable. Our coaches have been in the trenches, competed at high levels, and more importantly, they give a damn about your progress.

Whether you're doing Olympic lifts, crushing a HIIT session, or grinding through our Warrior Bootcamp, you're part of the Legion. That means showing up, putting in the work, and lifting each other up when things get tough.
